Do you check the device before it ships?

Depending on the model's track record, we may test the device before dispatch - screen, cameras, charging and sensors. We'd rather spend the extra time and catch a problem here than have you discover it after delivery. If you'd prefer we don't open it, just let us know when you order.

Will it work in my country?

Yes. It works worldwide; where needed we include the correct charger or a plug adapter for your region, and the menu language can be set to English.

Is there a warranty, and what if something goes wrong?

Yes. If something goes wrong, get in touch first - a lot of issues turn out to be software and are fixed with an update, and we'll go through it with you. If it's a genuine hardware fault, send the device back to us and we'll take it to the manufacturer's service centre for warranty repair.

What if it arrives damaged or faulty?

Honestly, this almost never happens any more. In our early years we opened and tested every single device we sent out, because back then factory defects did occur - but we haven't had a device arrive faulty in many years now, so it really isn't something to worry about. In the unlikely event it did, you'd simply send it back and we'd ship you a new one. And if it turns out to be a software issue, an update usually fixes it - we'll walk you through it remotely.

Can I cancel my order?

Yes - as long as it hasn't shipped yet, just message us with your order number and we'll cancel it. Once a parcel is on its way it can't be cancelled, so tell us as early as you can.

Will I get an invoice?

Yes. Once your order ships we send you a photo of the invoice that travels with the parcel, so you know exactly what the paperwork says. An order record is also available in your account.

Is my personal information safe?

Yes. The whole site runs over an encrypted (SSL) connection and passwords are stored encrypted. We only use your details to process and ship your order - we don't sell or pass them to anyone for marketing.

Huawei confirms the 5 August date, teases AI stylus and new finish

Huawei Terminal announced the launch date on Weibo with a teaser poster reading "Unfold the extraordinary with a single movement." The poster showed the foldable PC in a premium gold finish with a plain leather back cover and gold HUAWEI | ULTIMATE DESIGN branding, and — for the first time on this product — an AI stylus, confirming M-Pencil support on the new generation.

Kirin X90 Plus confirmed, 25% performance uplift

At its HarmonyOS computer technology event, Huawei confirmed the new MateBook Fold Ultimate Design runs the all-new Kirin X90 Plus, replacing the Kirin X90 and delivering roughly 25% higher overall performance. Huawei also confirmed the 18-inch dual-layer flexible OLED display carries over with a 92% screen-to-body ratio, 3.3K resolution, 1600-nit peak brightness, P3 colour gamut and HDR Vivid, together with the Basalt waterdrop hinge, UTG fluid laminate, Ultra Space Memory and Ark Engine acceleration. A second machine, the ultralight MateBook Pro S on the new Kirin XE90 chip, was announced for the same event.

Gold confirmed in teasers; white, beige and black also reported

Huawei's own teaser images show a gold leather finish. Notebookcheck reports the teaser series also shows white, beige and black versions, with a glossy hinge and frame and a textured kickstand. The final colour line-up will be confirmed on 5 August.

Huawei has not published a price for the new generation

For reference, the outgoing 2025 model launched in China at ¥23,999 for 32GB+1TB and ¥26,999 for 32GB+2TB. The new generation's pricing has not been announced and we will update this page the moment Huawei confirms it.

Configurations Reported

Storage tiers expected to carry over

Leaks suggest the memory and storage tiers remain 32GB with 1TB or 2TB of storage. A smaller, more affordable "mini" foldable PC has also been reported as being in development, separate from the Ultimate Design model.

Our take: Huawei launches its HarmonyOS computers in China first, and the previous MateBook Fold never received a wide international release — so ordering through us is likely to be the practical route for most buyers outside China. We expect to ship shortly after the China release. Reserve now and we'll email you the moment pricing and stock are confirmed — nothing further is charged until you confirm.
